Premium Bonds winners from Inner London and North Yorkshire

February’s £1 million Premium Bonds winners come from Inner London and North Yorkshire.

The first Bond number drawn was 398WP403111. The Bond is part of a £50,000 holding and belongs to a man from Inner London. He purchased his winning Bond in June 2020. The win makes the man the sixth £1 million Premium Bonds jackpot winner from Inner London.

304HM348661 was the second Bond number drawn and it belongs to a man based in North Yorkshire. He holds £50,000 in Premium Bonds and the winning Bond was purchased in June 2017. The man becomes the third Premium Bonds millionaire from North Yorkshire.

The way Premium Bonds prizes are paid is changing from Spring 2021

From Spring 2021, NS&I will begin to phase out the use of Premium Bonds prize cheques. Instead, Premium Bonds customers can arrange to have any prizes they win paid directly into their bank account or automatically reinvested into more Premium Bonds up to the maximum limit of £50,000. The withdrawal of prize warrants will not begin until the spring of 2021, so customers do not need to take action now and can do so at a later date.

There are several ways that Premium Bonds customers can provide NS&I with their bank account details:

  1. Customers already registered for NS&I’s online and phone services can input their bank account details quickly, easily and securely by logging into their account on NS&I’s website. They should visit nsandi.com and use the secure log in. They should go to ’Your profile’ and select ‘Your prize options’ and choose to have prizes paid directly to their bank account or to have prizes automatically reinvested into more Premium Bonds.
  2. Customers who are not registered can use NS&I’s new prize options service. The new service consists of a secure three-stage process. Customers can visit nsandi.com/prize-options to input their bank account details and should have their Premium Bonds holder’s number to hand, which they can find on their Bond record. Customers should enter their UK bank account details and can choose to have prizes paid directly into their bank account or reinvested into more Premium Bonds (up to the maximum £50,000). Customers who opt to use this service will need either an email address or a mobile phone number so that NS&I can notify them of any prize win by either text message or email. If customers do not have access to an email address or mobile phone, they should call 08085 007 007 and our call centre staff will be available to support.
  3. Customers who are unable to provide their bank details online can phone our call centre on 08085 007 007 to select their prize options.

Checking Premium Bonds prizes

Customers can check to see if they have won on the nsandi.com prize checker, prize checker app or via their Alexa enabled device from Tuesday 2 February 2021. Customers will need their Premium Bonds holder’s number to use the website and their NS&I number or holder’s number to check via the app.
